With today’s market requirements Double Facers are being asked to perform with more flexibility than ever before. Lighter weight papers, flute combinations and different belt specifications, mean that units without a highly efficient heat transfer system will find it hard to compete.
No longer can we run Double Facers with rollers, which cause large amounts of damage through crush and heavy maintenance problems.
Shoe systems with zero adjustment, also do not have the flexibility to run the ranges required today. The Air Bond is specifically designed to operate efficiently across all paper, flute and belt ranges. Its unique patented loading system, means that not only can it run light weight micro flute, but could just as efficiently run the next order with heavy weight triple wall. The system has already been accepted by several OEM's and end users, with a doubling of production performances.

“NG” Conveyor Systems
The New Generation (“NG”) class of conveyor from STS is designed to be more efficient and have less maintenance requirement than any other Conveyor System available in the market. It’s modular construction allows the unit to be constructed into various types of conveyor depending on the customers needs including; Basic Transfer, 90˚ Transfer Units, 360˚ Turntable, Centralising Units, etc.
A high degree of focus was given to the smooth start operational requirement of a unit, along with an easy housekeeping and maintenance needs. A simple Control system has a number of drive options depending on the product being conveyed to ensure that no product is damaged, or quality affected in the transportation phase. To ensure that the conveyor has a low maintenance requirement, it is constructed for simple PM procedures and full access for clean up, often the biggest contributor to conveyor damage.
Infra red dryers
In today’s operating environment we are being asked to increase print capabilities from Flexo Equipment. To reach these higher goals, improvements in ink, Stereo/Printing Plate and drying performance is necessary. Technology from Ink and Plate manufacturers is already in place, but drying performance has to be improved to finally reach the printing levels required. The latest generation Infra Red Dryer systems from STS are designed to achieve the highest performance from your Flexo Printing capabilities. Each Dryer has power adjustment, sectional control (saving power) and full safety systems. IR Systems will stop bleeding of the ink, enable speed increases and stop double pass production requirements.
